‘Atelier’ means ‘Design Studio’, and that’s exactly what Atelier RS represents—a space where thoughtful architecture comes to life.
Founded by Ar. Rahul Sardesai, Atelier RS is the result of a journey rooted in passion and experience. A graduate of the Goa College of Architecture in 2000, Ar. Rahul honed his skills in Mumbai and Bangalore, working on a diverse range of projects—from small retail interiors and residences to large-scale IT buildings.
Upon returning to Goa, he collaborated with reputed architectural firms and realized his deeper calling: to contribute meaningfully to the rich architectural language of our country. This vision gave birth to Atelier RS.
Atelier RS was founded with a clear intent—to fulfill client requirements while staying sensitive to the surrounding context and natural landscape.
The firm offers comprehensive design services, covering everything from conceptualization to execution and final delivery. Our portfolio spans residential interiors, commercial spaces, hospitality projects, and residential complexes.
We believe that a successful project is built on collaboration. Whether it’s the client, architect, structural engineer, or consultants, every stakeholder plays a vital role. At Atelier RS, we focus on fostering strong, open communication throughout the entire design and construction process.

This is to place on record my appreciation for the work done by Architect Rahul Sardesai during the construction of my ancestral house in Pomburpa, Bardez – Goa.
For the purpose of filling in the readers , I decided to demolish my old , dilapidated ancestral house in my village Pomburpa which was built on a compact 300 square meter plot. Space was a restriction and I wanted to build a traditional Portuguese structure with a contemporary look. It was a tough ask given the space and the budget – but Rahul stepped in and his recommendation and design ensured healthy sprinkling of Portuguese traditional touches combined with the comfort of a modern house that has left visitors to my house in awe. The house is very bright and sunny, with ample open spaces garnished with artefacts that give it a cosy look that exudes positivity. The very tall ceiling is a special feature of the house. Overall it’s a pad that we love to keep visiting frequently as it makes us feel happy and comfortable.
Rahul ensured that he participated right through the process of conception to construction to the cosmetics of the house. He was available to provide advise, his artistic counsel and even went beyond the brief and scope provided by him to ensure that the end product is delivered beyond the promise that was made. During the process I discovered that Rahul is updated with the latest in architectural designs and sensibilities and is abreast of all the various options that can add an aesthetic touch to your house.
In my view and experience he is someone I will highly recommend as an Architect and designer. It was a pleasure working with Rahul Sardesai.
